Last week, I spent my spring break in Germany participating in the INTERNATIONAL HARDWARE FAIR COLOGNE. I was amazed by the scale of the expo where literally thousands of hardware manufacturers from across the globe gathered inside a massive concrete structure called Koelnmesse. Participants were proud to display their latest and best innovations for potential business partners to explore. I was there supporting my fiancée and her team to promote her family business, Tung Jinn Abrasives, that manufactures abrasive products such as Resin Discs, Flap Wheels, Flap Discs to name a few. In few short days of attendance, we met many potential business partners that had shown great interest and enthusiasm of our products. Overall, the expo was a success where we established many strong contacts from Europe to Africa. This experience gave me a unique opportunity to apply some of the trainings that I acquired from Penn State Smeal MBA program such as presentation skills on the real world stage. I feel that I am more business savvy today than I was yesterday before committing to Smeal two years ago. Thank you, Penn State!
