Featured Alumni – Jordan Katz

JK_Alum SpotlightJordan is a Financial Analyst on the Acquisitions team at Liberty Property Trust. His main responsibilities include discovering, researching, and underwriting potential acquisitions for Liberty’s commercial office and industrial portfolio. Jordan actively studies Liberty’s existing markets in addition to researching new cities for potential growth via acquisitions and/or development. Furthermore, Jordan analyzes potential disposition candidates within Liberty’s existing portfolio. He works with over 20 regional offices and interacts daily with city managers, property managers, leasing representatives, attorneys and many other departments throughout the firm.
Recently, Liberty acquired a portfolio consisting of 23 million square feet of industrial real estate from Cabot Industrial Value Fund III. Jordan worked closely on the deal and assisted with the valuation of the 177 properties being purchased. Along with valuing the portfolio, Jordan has monitored leasing activity, assisted with due diligence, and worked on various tasks to help assimilate the Cabot portfolio into Liberty’s footprint.
Prior to working for Liberty, Jordan worked for Goldman, Sachs & Co. as a commodities product controller in New York City.
Jordan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Pennsylvania State University and received a minor in International Business after studying abroad in Rome, Italy. Upon graduating from Penn State, he traveled to Australia & Southeast Asia for 4 months before beginning work on Wall Street.
Jordan is an active member of the Philly Sport & Social Club and the Young Professionals Network of the Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce. In his spare time he enjoys playing basketball and volleyball, reading and traveling.
